Carl Ellery having some fun on a ‘wava’ kick board!
A few pics of my friends from Huntington Beach keeping the surf stoke alive in small waves at Kneelo Cove.

Tom Fish and his homemade ply ‘Frankenboard’ with aluminium skeg
Joe Taylor with his Roundtail Tracker
To quote Amanda Taylor
‘JT and a few of the guys were tearing in up this weekend on "alternative" crafts: JT was on his mat, Tom Fish was on his frankenboard- is a paipo style board he made himself, and Carl E was on JT's WAVA57, it is a old school kick board for swimming, but makes an awesome hand plane’
‘I'm telling you... The cove boys turned into teenagers, laughing, giggling and acting like silly boys. It was so much fun to watch!’
Better be careful…to much fun can lead to this
or even this
A big thank you to Mike Fernandez www.michaelfernandezphoto.com
What a great idea!
Amanda Taylor sent me these couple of pictures of some modifications she has done to her RT trackerAttached are two pictures of my mat, with the grommets Paul installed for me.
There are some at the front and rear of the mat. The ones for the front are for my hand held camera, not a gopro. I wanted some way to secure it in case I took one for the team. :) We also had him add grommets on the rear for my leash... makes it much easier not to have to think to hang on.
Great post and some really memorable characters amongst that lot for sure!
