Finally took this little rocket for a surf and was very surprised how fast it went in small waves , it just seem to recover and accelerate off the foam from the cutback, gaining speed in only a 2 foot wave. The board is only 5'5"x 23" , with a early quad fin setup, Circa early 80's, and I didn't take make notice of the bootom till getting home and placing a ruler over the tail section, as Neal said in the phone conversation that followed....welcome to the world of Reverse Curve.

Expecting a huge crowd this morning being a Public Holiday and the last day of the school break, but quite the opposite and just a small, friendly crew to share waves with . I started out on my hand plane surfing the right handers, then a quick break on the beach, banana for more fuel, then back out again on my Softech board that I ride kneel style for another couple of hours...time I got home it was 12.30 and was greeted by my wife asking 'what happen to the quick surf ' ?
