The Cuttlefish

Finally got some time off work and with a nice east swell rolling in, it was time to give my new kneeboard from Harddartz a run in something better and offshore. Saturday morning and it was a early check out to Wrecky only to find everybody else had the same idea, 20 odd heads bobbing around in a small east swell, so it was off to different lands and somewhere close without driving too many k's looking.

So after a long drive down a bush track we arrived down at the middle carpark not knowing if we made the right call coming here, we were stoked to climb up over the sand dunes to see plenty of swell, offshore winds, banks and best of all....nobody there to share with! Not just been satisfied with what was right in front, Eric spotted a right hander reel off down the beach , so another journey was began, only on foot this time looking for Eric's mystery right hander. We were joined by Paul about 30 minutes later, who couldn't believe we walked all the way down the other end, and he plugged a few pics off before joining us in the water himself.

The dart went great , paddles well and has no problems with holding it's line on the face, sorta like surfing a quad fin , using the rail and not pivoting off its tail as if you were riding a tri fin, plenty of squirt coming from the exhausts as pictured above.Cant wait to get into something with power and thrust to really test the board out....lets see what this weekends forcast brings!

mango smoothie anybody?

A few more Sea Cretures from Harddartz
