Below is 3 different views and you will see Jordan’s head bobbing up and down snapping a few pictures. It was a small but fun morning, just the 4 of us mat riders in the water, enjoying some slide time. The textures in the Sky were awesome, the Ocean clean and groomed by offshore winds, bait fish jumping out of the water…and one big Seal scaring the crap out of us!

Busting out the mono fins!
Finally after restoring the old Customline slab kneeboard, it was time to give it some water time and compare it to my modern built Mackie Bonza. The older board felt a touch flighty at first, with its fin positioned way forward compared to the new, but after a couple of waves I soon adjusted and was able to drive and turn with some control …heaps of fun left in this old girl, so stoked to save it from going to the rubbish dump!
The board has a nice twist , but is not noticeable when surfing.

Twin Fin
A totally different ride and feel again…I started off riding twin fins in the late 70’s, then progressed to the Tri –Fin which is a twin fin with a small little stabilizer fin in the rear .
Thrusters have 3 fins of equal size.
