Kneel Boards

Its been awhile since I have jumped back onto a standard kneeboard with 3 fins , and with the last 2 weeks of non stop swell and offshore winds , it has given me the opportunity to  ‘mix & match’ my surf toys between the feel of frictionless slide and the speed that a surf mat can give , compared to the power of driving the board with my knees and feet, letting the board pivot off the rear fins. Each has a different feel, but both have the same end result….fun.






I even broke out my hand plane for a session ,with nothing to float me bar  the buoyancy of my own body and a good pair of duck feet flippers to kick into the small waves.

What a cracker of a sunrise we had the other morning, in fact every morning has been gold….with the cool brisk offshore winds that our winter has brought , the early morning sky's have been so clean and colorful.

Wee….my conclusion?

Well I don't eat peanut butter sandwiches every day for lunch , so like food its fun to have a bit variety ,  mixing the slide with some drive!
