I recently lost a very good mate of mine to cancer, we said our goodbyes and few weeks earlier and when I received a text from his wife saying that he had passed away , surrounded by his family I felt some relief , so the next day was a RDO and I went down and had ' dag ' ( as he would say) at his favorite reef ....this one is for you Bourkey!

Now this was Special,
Wednesday Morning I walked down to one of my Favorite reefs and surfed it solo for over 2 hours before being joined in the line up by a couple of locals

The walk to and back were just worth it , throw in the waves as a added bonus!
I was lucky to have the week off from work, I am classed as a essential worker so have not missed a beat since Xmas , so my employers decided to give us the time off to make up for the bush fires, floods and now the covid virus , so it was a well appreciated ' time off ' !!
