FISH TALES

Small Wave Fun

Its that time again , School Holiday Time, so trying to survive those 2 weeks with all those frothing groms and parents in the lineup can be a effort, but with the ocean not playing ball, you can still sneak in a empty session if your timing is right , as I found out just recently.

The Key Master of Gilligans Island

Paul Gleeson AKA King Neptune

Two days in a row I was able to walk up to the lookout mid morning , only to see the last few kids paddling back in, leaving the line up empty and having myself getting change , down the steps and in the water in record time. The wind even swung offshore one session but that soon attracted the attention of like minded surfers, but still not really a crowd.

FOOT FISH

I bumped into this guy on the walk back , and I had a look at his quad fish that he made himself.

In Memory of Bernard  'Midget' Farrelly

The day the news broke that Midget had passed away , I had a message from Mick Mackie saying that the fish he made me is now extra special, as the blank he used was one of Midgets and I should take extra care with that board.....its now one of my favorite boards.

The Billabong

Neal is parked at a great spot at the moment, plenty of bush and friendly local wildlife to keep him company, with this beautiful billabong just stone throw away.

What do you get when you cross a catamaran and a car?

The Catamacar

with a 40 hp out board motor, this should be a great little vehicle to get out and anchor off the Island and shoot pictures from....well thats the plane at least according to Neal Cameron.

Neal had to add a centre piece to the two hulls, and match up with the size of the buggy body.
